Friday Afternoon at Home in Nova Scotia

Changing the name on the post which received the ads didn’t work, so I deleted the entire post, which I had written in October about television and BellExpressVu. Hopefully, the ads won’t pop up on some of my other posts. I will hope for the best, and check again tomorrow.

I don’t know about you, but I love looking at the Lee Valley catalogues. They have the most innovative things for gardeners and the handyman. Everything I have ever bought from them is good quality and works well. I was looking through their most recent catalogue this afternoon, and I circled several items I could use in my garden. There is a garden utility sink, which connects to your garden hose for use outdoors. The sink has two leaves on either side, which fold out for plenty of space for doing transplanting, and cleaning pots, without bringing them into the house. It is also good for washing your hands outside after gardening or working in the yard. I will be putting that on my list for the next time I go shopping there, along with a seedling sprayer, some Soil Moist crystals for my window boxes, and a four-way brass manifold for my garden hose. The only thing that stops me going further, is the money. I have to use some restraint.

I notice that the Nova Scotia government has decided to remove the word “delusional” from their recent website, due to negative feedback from Nova Scotians, both in Calgary and in Nova Scotia. If you go to that website, it is called just Calgaria now. I think that is a good decision. You can’t win friends and influence people by insulting them.

I hope to have a good weekend at the Ideal Home Show at Exhibition Park on Saturday, and at our cottage on Sunday. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate wherever you are this weekend too.

Have a good day,
Anne
